Abstract Submission Form Guidelines
The European Vulture Conference 2023 provides a unique platform for vulture conservationists and researchers to showcase their work on vulture biology, ecology, and conservation to a global audience.
We value a wide range of abstract submissions that go beyond traditional scientific papers. Alongside scientific research, we also encourage applied research and project reporting.
We welcome a wide range of abstract submissions that delve into project management and results, emphasising successful initiatives and sharing valuable lessons learned from practical implementation and real-world impact. Your abstracts can cover diverse aspects related to vultures, including applied conservation and management practices such as case studies, field methods for population monitoring, evaluation of reintroduction programmes, environmental impact assessment reports, guidelines for managing feeding stations, and more. It's important to note that these projects and initiatives don't need to be published in academic journals. While high-level scientific analysis and statistical studies are not mandatory, well-structured abstracts based on properly implemented projects and initiatives are encouraged.
Our ultimate goal is to connect practitioners with scholars, fostering collaboration to bridge the gap between academia and on-the-ground conservation efforts. This collaborative approach ensures that scientific research effectively informs the work of vulture conservation practitioners and vice versa, creating a mutually beneficial exchange of knowledge and expertise.
