Aires Oliva-Teles (CIIMAR)

Professor Aires
Oliva-Teles is graduated in Biology at the Faculty of Sciences of the
University of Porto (FCUP), where is Full Professor for more than 30 years. He
coordinates the NUTRIMU - Fish Nutrition and Welfare Group at CIIMAR and is
Director of the MsC in Aquatic Biological Resources and of the PhD in Biology
at FCUP. His research activity is focused on nutrition of fish species of
interest for aquaculture. He authored 240 scientific articles indexed in the
Web of Science, published in the main scientific journals of the area. He is
Associate Editor of Aquaculture, Journal of the World Aquaculture Society,
Animal Feed Science and Technology, Fishes, Frontiers in Aquatic Physiology and
also is Editor-in-Chief of the Aquaculture Journal.

Jorge Diogène (IRTA)
 
Jorge DIOGÈNE FADINI is a biologist with a PhD. in Fundamental and Environmental Toxicology and Senior Research Scientist, Head of the Marine and Continental Waters Program at IRTA (Catalonia, Spain) focused on food safety of aquaculture and fishery products, with particular interest on harmful algal blooms and associated toxins. He has participated or directed international research projects (31), directed 9 PhD thesis and authored 130 scientific articles. He has been employed at several research institutions (FDA, INSERM, U.Paris 7, IEO, U. Laval, IRTA) and has established contributions with several UN institutions (IOC, FAO, WHO, IAEA) and food safety agencies (EFSA, AESAN, ACSA).

Miguel Miranda (AIR Centre)

Jorge Miguel Alberto de Miranda is graduated in Physics at the University of Lisbon, where was Full Professor of Geophysics since 2000. He is Executive Director of AD AIR Centre since 2023 and was president of the Board of the Portuguese Institute for the Ocean and the Atmosphere between 2013 and 2023. He was President of the Council of the European Center for Medium Range Weather Forecast between 2017 and 2019 and Member of the Executive Board of WMO RAVI between 2014 and 2016. He was also director of Instituto Dom Luiz (Associate Laboratory) from 2004 to 2011, CEO of the Instituto de Ciência Aplicada e Tecnologia, from 2009 to 2011 and Executive Officer of the Foundation of the Faculty of Sciences from 2004 to 2009. His research activity is focused on Geomagnetism, Marine Geodynamics and Natural Hazards, in particular tsunamis. He authored more of 100 scientific articles indexed in the Web of Science, published in the main scientific journals of geophysics.
